Hajadu Off road Buggy is Quad fun – only far safer!!!

The controversial Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame once famously said that if you want to kill your children, a quad bike is the fastest way to do it. While we do not want to strike fear in the hearts of parents, statistics prove that quad bikes are inherently unstable and especially dangerous in rollover accidents.

Quad bikes cannot be leaned into a curve like a normal, twowheeled motorcycle and when excessive speed is carried into the corner, several things may happen. Experienced quad bikers provoke the quad into an oversteer situation, where the rear wheels start to slide outwards. Quick countersteer action is required to collect the quad bike and it can be powered out of the corner in this stance.

Children are less experienced and may not possess the necessary skills to “catch” a quad bike that has started to slide. Worse, if the quad happens to snag on an
obstacle or a hole halfway through the curve, it can easily tilt and roll over. With a person sitting on the seat, a quad bike’s centre of gravity is comparatively high, making it especially susceptible to a rollover accident. Few experienced quad bikers escape a rollover without injury and children could sustain
very serious injuries, especially if they land upside down or the quad bike lands on top of them.

Lastly, a quad bike is inherently unstable when performing jumps. A two-wheeled
motorcycle will always land on the rear wheel and it tends to stabilise itself. However, a quad bike that lands on an uneven surface will tend to be thrown in the direction of the down slope; it may start to bounce uncontrollably and the rider may be thrown off.

Toyscom’s Hajadu Buggy four-wheel drive recreational vehicle addresses all these concerns most convincingly.

The first thing you will notice as you approach the Hajadu Buggy side by side UTV is its sturdy roll cage (right) that affords superior rollover protection, should an inevitable situation arise. Lest you be thrown from the vehicle, three-point seatbelts hold you in your seat, allowing you to benefit from the protection of the frame and roll cage. Of  course, you sit within the vehicle and not on top of it, so you stand to gain from  the considerable side impact protection too.

The Hajadu Buggy’s wide track imparts valuable stability and improves cornering ability, postponing the adhesion limits and improving grip. The best for off road driving. The fully independent  suspension with long spring travel (below) soaks up bumps and holes without  sacrificing stability, providing a confidence-inspiring and neutral cornering stance.

Powerful disk brakes bring the Hajadu side by side to a swift stop. The spare wheel is mounted to the back and on top. It is set well away from the undercarriage
to protect it against damage and its position within the frame turns it into an additional impact-absorbing member in a rollover. Of course, the Hajadu’s UTV design provides for ride stability far superior to that of a quad bike and it will stay on course and on its wheels long after a quad bike has lost its balance. Still, it is
comforting to know that you are protected allround and that you are safely strapped in, even in the event of an accident.

Hajadu’s impressive safety arsenal and superior stability makes it the safe alternative to a quad bike for young and old. Hajadu Buggy is proof that safety does not have to come at the expense of fun. Convert today!
